Space ‘N’ Bass: The Ultimate Ambient Collection (12CD Box set) (1998)
“Limited to just 500 copies, this 12 disc box is subtitled ‘The Definitive Ambient Collection’, and justly so, 122 tracks from such artists as Fluid, Hawkwind, Crystal Moon, Josh Abrahams, Carl Cox, The Orb, Loop Guru, Astralasia, Future Sound Of London, David Toop, Children Of Dub and manyothers.
Contains the Dressed To Kill four CD compilations ‘Future Sound Of Infinity’ and both volumes of ‘Amberdelic Space’. Costs half the price of what you’d pay for these three collections separately! Comes in a full color slipcasebox. 1998 Dressed To Kill.”
All the trippy, ambient-y, spacey, dubby goodness you can imagine on 12 CDs. Too much? Or just a teaser?
Will keep your head busy for days.

All parts worked fine – thanks, I'll listen on my way to orlando – going to harry potter at Universal studios (and disney, etc)Lot's of activity, not much time for music! Thanks!Drew
This is great!!! I bought this set when it first came out, largely for the Orb mixes, but all in all this is a great little collection and it took me back many years to see it reposted here.
It is quite a little effort to put it all up, and do know that your efforts in putting up so much great music is much appreciated. Jim White! Wow, and was I sorry to see that Music From Wrong Eyed Jesus has been removed from the RapidShare server due to lack of activity. (I’m kind of sad to see RapidShare at all, being so slow for non-subscribers and with a timeout between downloads; have you considered MegaUpload?)
Bill Laswell! Wow, there are whole albums I’ve never heard of after collecting him for years (although I’m still looking for the Tabla Beat Science I’ve managed to lose), and his contributions to Eno’s On Land was news to me. Eno! em:t! 9Lazy9 and all that great Ninja stuff! Coldcut/Amon Tobin! Fellow Austinites Timbuk 3! The more I look through your colletion, the more impressed I am! Do you take contributions of music/mp3s, mostly related to the artists you already carry? I stand in awe of what you’ve achieved, and please accept my humble gratitude!
Thanks again, as I wait for my RapidShare timeout to expire….

Hey thanks for the note! Really glad you are enjoying the tunes.
I started using RS and, well, to change all these posts would take forever and a day. They have gotten better, though. At least they’ve opened up some bandwidth for free users. Maybe someday…
I do take donations, gladly. Let me know…
